World Funniest Island is a comedy festival with a difference. Staged over one weekend on Cockatoo Island in the middle of Sydney Harbour, the event brings together more than 200 acclaimed Australian and International comedy artists.

A single ticket includes the short ferry ride to the Island and as many shows as audience members can sample in 12 hours each day. The 16 venues on the spectacular heritage listed island include a bomb shelter, tunnels and a former prison.

Launched in 2009 the annual event was an instant hit with artists and audiences alike. The short sharp show format encourages audiences to sample a wide range of hilarity ranging from top stand up comics to circus, sketch shows, comedy burlesque and witty music with bars, food and market stalls.
